I have been working with
sculpture and texture of the glass - making the work look
somehow "unglasslike". In the goblet form, this has led to
tactile sensations different from the traditional goblet:
the vertebre stem in the hand and the rock like texture on
the lips are different than the smoothness we are used to
in a Goblet.
I enjoy these odd sensations,
just as I enjoy the line between humor and revulsion that
using a skull as a drinking vessel straddles.
